Forbes projects to attract funding are:
Forbes Wiardjuri Dreaming Centre, $10,070 for the cultural hub (pictured);
Forbes and District Tennis Club, $14,000 for replacement of the clubhouse roof;
Forbes Sports and Recreation Club, $20,000 for installation of a water efficient and sustainable watering system.
Other projects in the district to gain funding are:
Country Women’s Association of Eugowra, $13,000 for a compliant safe area with baby change room and disabled toilet;
Bogan Gate Community Memorial Hall, $13,536 for partial replacement of the roof.
“This is fantastic for the Orange electorate; this funding will directly help our community by enabling positive social, recreational and economic outcomes,” Mr Donato said.
“I congratulate all organisations that were successful in their application and look forward to seeing these projects come to fruition.
“These projects will make a real impact for community groups in our area, which creates benefits that flow to everyone.
“I am very proud to have put my support behind these projects.”
Several of the local Community Building Partnership program grants will complement $1million in funding announced for the Lake activation plan earlier this year.
That funding will see solar lighting installed along the Lake walkway, build or upgrade public toilets at the rugby club and Dreaming Centre, resurface tennis courts and build new cricket nets. Lions Park will get a makeover including a rotunda, improved barbecue facilities and toilets.
