The courts were full with players talking about the festive season, their holidays, and the upcoming year.
The new starting time of 8:30am is an effort to beat the heat, with the heat actually beating us!
The winners of three games were Veva MacCullagh, Bruce Field, Joan Littlejohn, Evelyn Mahlo, Bill Scott and Alec Todd. Winner’s obviously still in form despite the Christmas New Year break.
Saturday’s Aussie Croquet was short in numbers with the Elvis festival taking a percentage of our players.
The hot wind played havoc with many players hats. We finished in record time with tea, coffee and toast all finished by 10.30am, leaving us to join the Elvis breakfast celebrations in town.
There were three winners of three games, John Job, Harley Stewart and Tony Thomson, again, in form players who have not lost their touch.
January’s birthdays will be celebrated along with the February birthdays on the second Tuesday, February 12. The venue will be advised at a later date.
