The Central West Police District joined a statewide campaign on Tuesday to fight drug dealers making and supplying illicit drugs ranging from ice to cocaine. 

The 'Dob in a Dealer' campaign is calling on the public to call Crime Stoppers if they have any information that might help police stop drugs. 

Crime Stoppers NSW CEO Peter Price said people needed to act for their community.

"The drugs are a cocktail of poisons. People are dying every single day across Australia because of these drugs," he said.

"You can't sugar coat that, it is someone's kids. It's your call, it's your community," he said.

Mr Price said calls to Crime Stoppers led to 22 arrests a day across Australia.

He urged anyone with information on drug activities to call 1800 333 000.

"You don't have to give your name, we only want the information, we don't want to know who you are," Mr Price said.

Central West Police District Commander, Acting Superintendent Bruce Grassick said public tip-offs had helped police.

"Our officers see the impact of illicit drugs in the community on a daily basis and police, together with the community, want it to stop," he said.

Orange City Council Community Safety and Crime Prevention committee chair Cr Joanne McRae said they were working to make Orange safer.

"To dob in a drug dealer is a really important way, get that information in so our local police can do their hard work, look after the investigation and get these drugs off the streets," she said.
