The heated pool committee has given Forbes police one of the 24-hour access keys to the facility as they move to step up security monitoring of the pool.

They will also be installing security cameras within the complex.

With those measures in place, everything is looking positive for a busy year at the pool, new president Dianne Decker said after the organisation's AGM.

Chris Baker has taken the role of treasurer, Kaushulya Brown secretary, Brian Jones vice president and Graham Uphill public officer.

With thanks to a generous donation following the sale of Lach Haven, a ramp will be installed so the pool is even more accessible.

The heated pool continues to be very much in demand with users ranging from learn-to-swim to rehabilitation, Mrs Decker said.

A new notice board will be going up in the foyer, with contact details for any groups wishing to book a session at the pool.

Sporting groups are welcome, but swimmers are reminded to shower before getting in the pool.
