That's the message from Forbes Shire Council as holiday-makers head for home after the Easter long weekend and school holidays.
The council says fatigue is one of the biggest risk factors on the road and encourages drivers to take regular breaks driving both long and short distances.
The Free Cuppa for the Driver scheme is up and running during this holiday period, and drivers are encouraged to use it.
"Free Cuppa (now in its ninth year) has grown to cover some popular coastal holiday destinations like Port Stephens, Eurobodalla and the Shoalhaven areas as well as those in the South West and Western NSW regions," Mrs Coe said.
"When drivers travel at least 100 kilometres from the town on their drivers licence, between 1 March and 31 May every year, they are eligible for a free cuppa at participating 'Free Cuppa' businesses".
Drivers can find participating 'Free Cuppa' towns and businesses by visiting www.freecuppa.com.au or the 'Free Cuppa' Facebook page.
The 'Free Cuppa' website is mobile friendly and participating businesses can be searched by 'Highway' or 'Town' with directions to businesses being made easy through a quick link to google maps.
Participating businesses have 'Free Cuppa for the Driver' window decals, banners and/or sandwich boards at the front of their business to make them identifiable and most participating 'Free Cuppa' towns have large roadside banners at the entrance to their town.
This scheme has the same focus as 'Driver Reviver' sites based Australia wide, in the way that it encourages drivers to stop and revive whilst having a free cuppa during their long distance drive.
Different 'Driver Reviver' sites are also open over the school holiday period. To find out the location and opening times of 'Driver Reviver 'sites Australia wide please visit www.tollgroup.com/driverreviver
