Best in business recognised at Western Region award

A Forbes business manager has won the title of Outstanding Business Leader at the Western NSW Business Awards.

Managing director of Ray White Forbes, Parkes and Condobolin, Tracie Robertson, shared the Outstanding Business Leader award with Rusty Russell from Double R Equipment Repairs in Mudgee.

The NSW Business Chamber described Ray White Parkes as a driven and ambitious property services firm.

Ms Robertson has grown a struggling business from one small rented office in Parkes with five staff, to six franchises across three towns with 22 staff.

Ms Robertson manages all operations of the company which now encompasses real estate services, mortgage broking, training, and guest speaking.

Ray White Rural CEO Stephen Nell says Tracie's leadership and success "is a testament to her dedication to her community and her belief that it's a great place to live and own property".

Forbes' Business of the Year Flannery's Pharmacy also featured in the evening's honours, named runner up for the Outstanding Employer of Choice award.

Western NSW Business Chamber regional manager Vicki Seccombe says the business awards are made possible by the strong relationships the NSW Business Chamber has forged with hardworking local chambers of commerce in Parkes, Forbes, Bathurst, Canowindra, Cowra, Coonabarabran, Coonamble, Dubbo, Gulgong, Lithgow, Mudgee, Oberon, Orange, Rylstone Kandos and Wellington.

"Through our annual awards program, the NSW Business Chamber seeks to celebrate business excellence in NSW and promote growth by enabling our finalists and winners to share their success stories and lessons learned along the way," she said.

Regional winners are considered in their categories for the NSW State Business Awards in Sydney on November 22.

See Solar, Parkes, the business that installed the first solar streetlights in Forbes last year, won the StartUp Superstar award.

Parkes based Regos Plus Tyre & Mechanical was named Western NSW's 2019 Business of the Year.
