Roads and Maritime Services advises work involves drilling boreholes into Lake Forbes from the pedestrian bridge to assess ground conditions for future bridge work.
A reduced speed limit of 40km/hr will be in place on the bridge, while pedestrians use the footpaths on the road bridge.
Work will be carried out between 7am and 5pm from Wednesday 12 June to Friday 14 June, weather permitting.
The footbridge will re-open to pedestrians at 5pm on Friday, 14 June.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions and follow the direction of signs and traffic control.
Roads and Maritime thanks motorists and pedestrians for their patience.
