Multiple premiership winning trainer Trevor Sutherland trains a big team and most of his horses have spells on a regular basis but not Gentleman Max who thrives on racing and prefers life in the stable to the spelling paddock.
Since beginning racing four years ago, Gentleman Max has raced on average every fortnight. From an incredible 99 starts he has recorded 13 wins and 29 placings and accumulated $257,160 prizemoney.
Over July, Gentleman Max had four starts and proving very versatile finished third over 2500 metres at Wagga Wagga and won over 1400 metres at Albury.
Although wet weather looks only an outside chance, if rain did arrive at Forbes on Monday the winning prospects for Gentleman Max would be greatly enhanced as all 13 wins have been on soft or heavy tracks.
