Despite being a small school, the opportunities are endless, be it academic, sporting or social.
High student to teacher ratios mean that students benefit from small focus groups which enables the teachers to cater to the needs of each child.
Composite classes are a positive aspect of the school, offering both revision and extension opportunities for students.
The staff at St Joseph's Eugowra are dedicated to supporting parents in developing their child's whole self: academic, social and physical. We are fortunate to have a well-rounded experienced team of staff members.
The school conducts a number of specialised educational programmes including Quicksmart for mathematics and reading programmes including Reading Magic, MacLit, MiniLit and MultiLit.
The school provides a Chromebook for each child to use at school and encourages the use of online learning through Reading Eggs, Mathletics and Studyladder.
Kindergarten to Year 2 are involved in the Ready for Learning Kindergarten Program for the first 5 weeks of school. This involves: Emotional regulation; occupational therapy; mindfulness to calm bodies; teaching social and emotional skills.
Father Laurie is our parish priest and students enjoy participating in fortnightly Mass by reading, singing and being altar servers. The whole school also conduct a flag raising ceremony at the start of each month instilling respect for our country and its people.
The most recent excursion was a trip to Sydney to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Due to the size of our school, all students are able to be involved in these cultural experiences.
All classes offer a variety of excursions throughout the year to fully immerse the children in hand on learning.
Music is taught each week by a dedicated, talented music teacher. Children learn to play instruments, sing, dance and perform.
