Flint was named as the NBL1's 2019 Female Referee of the Year.
"It feels amazing," Flint said.
"I'm honoured to win the award, especially because I am from the country."
Flint first became a referee back in 2005 with the Bendigo Basketball Association.
Since, Flint has gone on to referee in the BIgV, SEABL, NBL1 and WNBL.
Flint was impressed with the high-calibre of the players competing in the NBL1.
"Yeah it was really great to be a part of, it was very different to that of the SEABL last year," Flint said.
During the 2019 NBL1 season, Flint refereed a mixture of men's and women's matches.
"There were so many great WNBL players who played in the NBL1 this season, it was great to be able to referee their matches on a weekly basis," Flint said.
Flint always likes to challenge herself and moving forward aims to one day be a referee for Australia's top league, the NBL.
Earlier this year, Flint was also acknowledged by Basketball Victoria Country and was awarded as the Senior Female Referee of the Year.
