Officers from Forbes Police joined community members at Roundabout Bakery to talk about community issues and build relationships.
Coffee With a Cop is an annual event to giving police and community members the chance to meet in an informal, neutral space to discuss community issues and build relationships.
Similar events were held across NSW, as Police Area Commands and Districts.
The event provides a unique opportunity for community members to ask questions and learn more about the Police work in Forbes and the Central West Police District.
It was a chance for locals to meet our new probationary constable Sam Carpenter (that story to come) and was one of the last local events attended by Forbes' Sergeant Adrian Matthews who is heading to another command in the Central West.
Sergeant Matthews said he has really enjoyed working out of Forbes and that he has worked with a lot of good people over the last three and a half years.
Sergeant Matthews said he is also looking forward to the change and challenge of taking on a new role.
Although he is heading out of the area for work, Sergeant Matthews said people may still see him around town.
