The annual community event kicked off with the return of the giant waterslide, which proved to be quite popular.
Event organisor Rex Taylor said it was a wonderful event that went really well.
Mr Taylor said that the night of carols are a good way to start off the Christmas season.
Also taking place over the weekend was the Rotary Ipomoea Christmas Tree Festival.
Community Christmas celebrations continue this week with the down-town Christmas carnival on Friday evening and Carols By Candlelight on Saturday.
