It's estimated at least 1000 Elvis fans are booked to stay in Forbes this weekend for the 2020 Parkes Elvis Festival.
Tribute artist Paul Fenech headlines a breakfast in Templar Street this morning, with visitors and locals welcome to enjoy music and food down town from 7am.
"We've delivered more than 600 'Welcome to Forbes' bags to accommodation providers in Forbes," said Council's General Manager Steve Loane.
From our motels and caravan parks through to camping at the Forbes Showground, "Forbes fills up," Mr Loane said.
The Elvis Express came through Forbes on Thursday afternoon, on a different route via Cootamundra after fires ravaged train lines through the Blue Mountains.
In addition to this morning's breakfast down town, the Forbes Services Memorial Club has shows Friday and Saturday nights and Sunday afternoon.
There's no cover charge, but donations to the Royal Far West will be taken on the door.
Forbes Shire Council is hosting A Night on the SS Mississippi Queen on Saturday night, with entertainment and a delicious sit-down meal on Lake Forbes from 7pm. Tickets online 123tix.com.au
Festival Director, Cathy Treasure said this year's program is bigger and better than ever.
"There's a bunch of phenomenal free events, family focused activities, outdoor markets, and special performances sure to blow audiences away," Ms Treasure said.
