Police said a military vehicle travelling south from Queensland left the Newell Highway about 25km from Forbes and crashed.
One person was transported to Forbes hospital, then flown to Orange.
Investigations into the crash, which occurred about midday, were ongoing but police did extend thanks to a local business.
With about 15 people stranded on the side of the highway, they called the Roundabout Bakery who responded quickly to provide sandwiches.
A couple of pairs of thongs, a hammer, handsaw and leaf blower batteries have been stolen from a Gloucester Street property.
Police said the theft occurred on Monday and anyone with information is urged to contact them locally on 6853 9999.
Police are also investigating malicious damage to a Forbes business.
The window of a Lachlan Street business was smashed, it appears with a chair, about 2am Tuesday.
They also report graffiti to a Lake-side business and the public toilets in Lions Park. Again, anyone with information should contact police.
