The morning began at 8am in Memorial Park with a welcome by Shelley Nutley, followed by the flag raising.
This year Marley Paton and Cooper Bond from Bogan Gate Public School raised the flag. And Ros Edwards led those who gathered for the event in the first verse of the National Anthem.
Residents made their way over to the Hall for a cooked breakfast of bacon, sausages, eggs, baked beans and rolls at 8.45am. The morning wasn't complete of course with the competition and prizes. This year's competition featured an Australian-themed word search and everyone received a prize.
