Bedgerabong Showgrounds looked a picture for the annual gathering: good preparation topped off with beautiful rain in the week leading up to the event.
Club president Nathan Clarke said the committee was pleased with the numbers, the party continuing trouble-free well into the evening.
"We were happy with the crowd," he said. "We knew it was going to be hard to top the (2019) crowd after celebrating 100 years."
He made particular mention of the day's sponsors, who continued to support the picnic race club even though conditions have been tough for many.
"We wouldn't be able to run and operate on the day without our sponsors," he said.
"To have come forward again and donated what they could, we are so grateful."
There was strong competition in Fashions on the Field, with some amazing prizes, and excellent race fields too.
Clarke paid tribute to the hard work of the committee and especially the track curators Greg Hodges and Tim Currey, the course condition was highly praised by all.
"We had a fantastic day's racing, a fairly full field, with horses from Canberra, Bathurst, Scone.
"We were really happy to see some different faces on the track."
