"Completely out of our hands" - Eugowra's Cafe 51 will close Saturday

Proprietor Lisa Wren said that it is a very sad day for her and her staff as this is an outcome completely out of her hands.

Lisa and her efficient friendly staff have been able to operate a very successful and popular business, one that will be missed by all her regular customers.

Lisa wishes to thank all her loyal customers, saying she will miss them all and she feels the closing of the business will have a detrimental effect.

Due to the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic, restrictions have been placed on food outlets and they can now be takeaway only.

Pubs and clubs have also been ordered to close.

Some of the other impacts in Eugowra include:

Eugowra Community Bowls and Recreation Club: Following Government directions the Eugowra Bowling Club will close for all business until further notice with the following exceptions: the back door will open for the sale of alcohol between 3.30pm and 6.30pm and the back kitchen door for take-away food from 5pm.

The directive will be reviewed on a monthly basis by the Government. The management is sorry, but the minute they can open the doors again they will.

Utility Dog Trial: Kevin Howell of 'Karana Kelpies' has advised that the Eugowra Utility Dog Trials set down for April 17 to 19 has now been cancelled. Kevin has recently returned from the Australian Yard Dog Championships at Lucindale in SA. The South East Field Days were held at this site 18th- 21st March and attracts 4,000 people.

Masters of the Mandagery: The rugby league event planned for last Saturday could be on September 26.

Craft on the Creek: The decision was made to close the Craft Shop until at least the end of April when the situation will be reviewed.

Rugby League Reunion: the much anticipated reunion of the Eugowra Old Boys 'All Blacks' of the 60's era set down for 18th April has unfortunately been cancelled for 2020. The plan is for this event to take place on 17th April 2021.
