The board met on Thursday night following after the NSWRL announced earlier in the week community competitions could start from mid-July.

Board members, club officials, and players still have major concerns about the potential of not having crowds at games, something which would likely cause the season to be cancelled.

But NSWRL is setting a plan of attack in place, with the July start date in place but a further review planned for June 1.

Group 11 will now form it's own plan for a potential season but secretary Paul Loxley said details of it won't be known until after a meeting conducted via Zoom on Monday night.

"In response to the announcement from NSWRL, Group 11 met to form a proposal to clubs.

"We'll put it to the clubs ... there will be a proposal on the table and hopefully clubs endorse it.

"There's still things unanswered and whatever we do discuss will rely on things falling into place."

There will need to be a unanimous decision from the seven Group 11 clubs for any proposed structure and format to be made official.

A number of possible structures are believed to be in play, from one single round of matches to one-and-a-half rounds, through to a full two rounds and modified finals series.

The latter would mean the Group 11 season would run until late October and potentially clash with local cricket competitions but the lack of cricket pitches at the grounds would make any proposed matches slightly easier.

The Group 11 season was originally scheduled to start this weekend.

Players have remained busy in isolation, with most club coaches putting training plans in place.

Many clubs have also taken to social media to keep their players, fans and sponsors engaged.
