This funding will help Forbes, Parkes, Eugowra and Canowindra Showgrounds to improve infrastructure.
Forbes Show Treasurer Jan Facey said the grant of $64,400 they have received will go towards installing a new roof on the poultry pavilion to make it more appealing and possibly broaden its uses.
"Hopefully once it is finished we will be able to have more poultry shows," she said.
Mrs Facey said the Forbes Showgrounds have also received another grant of $15,882 from the NSW Showground Stimulus Funding Program to enclose the Ben Hall Shears Pavilion.
"Both of these sheds being done up will help us keep improving the Showgrounds," Mrs Facey said,
Mrs Facey said they would like to thank the Forbes Show Secretary, Felicity Nolan, for all the work she has done to secure the grants.
Eugowra Show Society President Sean Haynes said they were awarded $8,351 which will go towards installing desks in the Secretary's office.
Mr Haynes said this will complement the grant they received to install new flooring in the Secretary's office (see full story on our website or in last Friday's edition).
"There's plenty of projects we're very grateful to receive funding for," Mr Haynes said.
Mr Haynes said the projects being undertaken at Eugowra Showground will benefit the wider community.
Upper House MP Sam Farraway said these showgrounds have been approved for further upgrade work to improve the safety, use and condition of their infrastructure and support local jobs.
"Our showgrounds play an important role at the heart of our communities so I welcome this further investment by the NSW Government," he said.
Parkes Showground was awarded $58,000 to replace its harness racing track and arena lights and clean the showground's other lights. Canowindra Showground received $25,000 for repairs to its main drainage line.
"Showgrounds are community hubs and multi-use facilities and these projects will improve safety and enhance community enjoyment by providing upgraded facilities to support a range of uses," Minister for Water, Property and Housing Melinda Pavey said.
