Forbes Dragon Boat Club is holding an invitational fun day and there will be some additional paddlers in town for the occasion.
The Western Region Clubs, which include teams from Bathurst, Orange, Parkes and Dubbo, will all join Forbes to participate in a variety of events on our lake this weekend.
"The main aim of the day is to get together with clubs in the area to do some extra fun training, a couple of races, a sweeps challenge and a bridge-to-bridge challenge," the club's publicity officer Marg Lambert said.
Organising the event to fit within COVID-19 regulations has been carried out by a sub committee to ensure the event is COVID-safe for all attendees.
The club would like to thank Forbes Shire Council for its support.
Many community members are also volunteering their time to help with the running of the event.
