Police announced on Tuesday night that two men have died after a train collided with a truck between Bribbaree and Quandialla.

At about 5:15pm on Tuesday 23 February 2021, emergency services were called to Eurabba Lane at Bribbaree, approximately 70kms north west of Young after a crash between a freight train and a b-double truck on a rural rail crossing.
Police said as a result of the impact, the truck and surrounding grass area caught alight which was extinguished by the Rural Fire Service.
Officers from The Hume Police District attended and established a crime scene.
Two men who were occupants of the truck died instantly. The men are yet to be formally identified.
The train line between Stockinbingal and Quandialla was expected to be closed until 7am Wednesday 24 February 2021.
Police said a report will be prepared for the coroner.
