Forbes View Club has begun 2021 with its AGM. It was very pleasing to welcome over 55 ladies to the luncheon meeting on Thursday 11th February.

The President's report for 2020 was presented to the meeting by the departing President Alison Lockhart.
In this report, Alison was happy to inform the members that our club is still supporting our seven "Learning for Life" students through the difficulties of 2020. Then followed the Treasurer's report by Judith Kerr.
The election of the committee for 2021 took place with the following results:-
President Helen Pitt; Vice President & Delegate Chris Phillips; Secretary Helen Hurley; Treasurer Judith Kerr; Assistant Secretary Barbara Thomas; Assistant Treasurer Alpana Mahagaonkar; Program Officers are Noelene Toohey, Pat Phillips, Diane Findley, Jan Drabsch and Publicity Alison Lockhart.
Ending the AGM, Helen Pitt presented Alison with flowers as a thank you from her committee.
After a delicious lunch, Emily Wilson gave a very interesting talk on her role as Marketing Manager for the Forbes Arts Society.
She spoke about the Sculpture Trail down the Lachlan, the construction of the three bird hides at Gum Swamp, and the plans for the old ambulance station building with the DA to be presented to the Forbes Shire Council in the very near future.
The next lunch meeting will be Thursday March 11 at Club Forbes at noon for 12.30 pm when the guest speaker is Warwick Rolfe of Woolerina.
