This ceremony is set to begin at 11am and honours those who served in Vietnam and those who did not come home.
This year, the ceremony may go ahead in a different format depending on the Covid-19 restrictions which are in place.
Some 60,000 Australians served their country in the Vietnam conflict between 1962 and 1975.
Five hundred and twenty one were killed and more than 3000 wounded, many more suffered as a result of their service.
Australians were involved in many engagements, including Operation Crimp in January 1966, heavy fighting around Bien Hoa and Long Binh at the time of the Tet Offensive 1968, the battle of Binh Ba in 1969 and Long Khanh in 1971.
Vietnam Veterans day is on the anniversary of the Battle of Long Tan, August 18, 1966, where 18 Australians were killed and 24 wounded.
The commemorations honour all Australians who served their country during the Vietnam War.
