The 25-year-old life-long Forbes resident says he loves this community, and has always tried to be involved and give back.
Aidan is a familiar face to many of us, as the Assistant Director at Forbes Learning Ladder or working weekends as a casual at Loomzys Fish N Fix.
He's also a member of the Forbes Aboriginal Education Consultative Group and Forbes and District Lions Club, and aims to be there to help whenever needed.
Aidan narrowly missed out on a seat at the local government table at the 2016 elections and says he's grown professionally and developed his skills in the time since, with COVID delaying polling day by 18 months on top of the standard council term.
He seeks to be a voice for young people and families, speaking up for what younger members of the community need and what they expect to entice them to stay in Forbes - or return with their own families.
Transparency, approachability and honesty are all attributes he would bring to the table, along with helping to create a sustainable and financially successful council.
"I love Forbes because the community has been home for my family for many years," Aidan said.
"I grew up never wanting to leave Forbes and as a resident who works in Forbes, owns a home in Forbes and feels a connection to Forbes there's no greater place that I would want to give back to more than the Forbes community.
"I believe that Forbes Shire Council has a fantastic array of staff and some current councillors who bring many years of knowledge and skills to our shire that can assist in deciding what exactly is needed and what needs to be improved or what is working well.
"Forbes is extremely lucky to have outstanding community-minded residents, fantastic council staff and dedicated councillors who have helped to make Forbes the amazing place that we call home.
"However my biggest goal if elected to Forbes Shire Council would be to hear from the locals, the farmers, the young children, the tourists who come to visit Forbes.
"This is your town, this is your time to be heard."
