The fundraiser for Chelsie Farmer on Friday, November 12, was a huge success, with more than 165 people turning out to show their support in one extremely heartening evening.
Chelsie has suffered severe injuries in an accident and was airlifted to Westmead Children's hospital.
Sabrina Gavin, one of the event's organisers, said the entire evening's profits will go straight to Chelsie for her future requirements, such as medical, doctor, and specialist appointments.
She extended particular thanks to the Golf and Sportsman Hotel for providing the location, as well as Stevie Jackson and Rheeba Bevan for their assistance in organising the event.
To those who helped and provided gifts, large and small, the organisers are extremely grateful.
"There were several significant prizes up for auction, including three separate vacations," Sabrina said.
"Sandy is overwhelmed by the town's generosity and grateful for everything that has been achieved, as well as knowing how much Chelsie is loved and cared for by the community.
"Everyone involved has had an unbelievable experience, and I'm sure Chelsie will be overcome with appreciation for all everyone has done."
More than $30,000 was collected in addition to the GoFundMe accounts set up for Chelsie.
As of Friday, September 19, the two GoFundMe pages had jointly raised $17,090.
