The Magpies will meet Parkes Spacemen at Spooner Oval on Friday, with games scheduled for first grade, reserves and under 18s.
The games are the first official Group 11 trials for the Forbes club, with another scheduled against Wellington next weekend.
Round one is set for April 26 and 27, but Forbes has the bye first up and won’t play until early May.
“It’s our first group trial, so it will be good to see where we’re at,” McMillan said of tomorrow’s games.
“The game we played against Trundle I thought the boys played really well, and obviously the win we had against Bathurst St Pat’s was against a pretty strong side, so I think we’re travelling okay,” McMillan said.
McMillan said he expected Parkes would field a similar team to last season, in which the Spacemen were one of the competition’s best.
The under 18s game is scheduled to kick off about 6pm on Friday at the Forbes rugby league headquarters, with a shortened reserve grade match to follow, and the main game set to start about 7.45pm to 8pm.
