Forbes brothers Jarrod and Mitchell Andrews have helped their team to a gold medal at the NSW Combined High Schools lawn bowls titles, held in Port Macquarie recently.

The two Forbes High School students were part of the five-person CHS B Team at the titles, held on September 9-11, and were both in the fours team which claimed a gold medal.
Alongside Nick Evans (Hunter region), Luke Millican (Sydney North) and Ethan Mills (St Johns Park) the CHS B team played in singles, pairs, triples and fours over three days, with each game played for 55 minutes.
Jarrod Andrews skipped the winning fours team, with other team members Nick Evans, Mitchell Andrews and Luke Millican.
CHS B met the All Stars first in the fours, winning +7.
Their next game was against NSW White and they again won +8.
Next up they met CHS A, and narrowly went down -4, however they won against NSW Blue +1, which saw them in the final against CHS C.
They were successful in this game, winning +6 and won the gold medal for this event.
Mitchell’s triples team also collected the bronze medal at the event.
Jarrod and Mitchell thanked Central Western District Bowling Association for their donation and support in attending this event and also the Globe Hotel, Forbes Sport and Recreation Club, Flint St Butchery, Forbes Sportmans Hotel and Ang Markwort.for selling raffle tickets to fund the trip to Port Macquarie.
