A twilight tennis evening is hoping to give the ladies of Forbes a chance to enjoy a game and a glass of bubbly while at the same time raising funds for an important cause.

The evening will be held on Thursday, November 13 from 6-9pm at the Forbes Town Tennis Courts and all money will support the Forbes District Hospital.
For $20, women will get a complimentary glass of champagne, light refreshments and their games of tennis.
The first prize winner on the night will receive two tickets to the Apia International Sydney tennis open.
Organiser of the event Peter Clifton said the night is more about being social than skillful.
“It’s a good social night and a great cause for the local hospital,” he said.
“We’re encouraging people to come along and support the fundraiser, either by playing or cheering from the sidelines.”
The Forbes and District Hospital are hoping to put the funds raised from the event towards a special ‘Phoenix’ chair which helps aid a patient’s recovery by increasing their mobility safely.
