Jim Cronin, Tom Morrison, Riall Harrison and Carly Hoy competed against 75 skiers from across Australia at the championships which were held last weekend in Mulwala.
All four are members of the NSW Water Ski Club and each caused a splash in their individual categories.
Harrison, a barefooter from Parkes, came away as the overall champion of the men’s category three, after collecting a gold medal in tricks and a silver in slalom.
Forbes local Cronin also competed in the men’s three category, accumulating a bronze medal and a personal best in his trick run.
Hoy went home to Parkes with a personal best and two silver medals for both tricks and slalom and Forbes skier Morrison also managed to ski a personal best in both his trick and slalom runs.
The championships held from April 8-12 yielded high results for the state as well, with NSW collecting the overall junior champion team title and the Holland Shield for the highest scoring state.
Next year’s nationals will be held in April at the NSW Barefoot Waterski Club at Liverpool.
Before that, Forbes will again be holding the state tournament in February 2016.
