POLICE PURSUE STOLEN CAR: Police called off a pursuit of an allegedly stolen car for safety reasons in Forbes early Wednesday morning.

The car was stolen after a break-in at a Morton Street residence shortly before 6am and the offence immediately reported to Forbes police.
Shortly after 6am police sighted a motor vehicle travelling in Farnell Street and initiated a pursuit.
A short time later they terminated the chase for safety reasons.
They located the vehicle in bushland behind Cedar Crescent later in the day.
Police are appealing for anyone who saw suspicious activity involving the white Mitsubishi Verada sedan to contact them with information.

BIKE STOLEN: A black Repco mountain bike has been stolen from a Dawson Street address. The bike was taken between 8am and 12.30pm on Monday. Anyone with information is urged to contact Forbes police.
WINDOW SMASHED: Police are appealing for anyone who saw suspicious activity in Belah Street on Wednesday after a rear window of a home was smashed.
The window was broken between 8am and 9pm. It does not appear anyone gained entry to the home or stole anything.
