Family escapes house fire
A house in Wood Street was destroyed by fire around midnight last Thursday night.

Police and the fire brigade were notified, and attended to find a single storey fibro house well alight.
The house was completely destroyed, but no one was injured.
Following an investigation by NSW Fire and Rescue and police, it appears as if the fire was more than likely caused by a kitchen appliance, with no apparent suspicious circumstances.
The occupant was woken by a neighbour who had seen flames in the side window.
They were then able to evacuate those inside the home, including six children.
