Happy New Year to all our bowling ladies. The Christmas Party held at the end of last year was enjoyed by all those attending with a luncheon supplied by our caterers. The Forbes Senior Singers entertained us with their lively singing led by Ann Hodges. A great day of fellowship enjoyed by all. An appearance of Santa Claus and his assistant Elf was a surprise visit. The Christmas hamper winner was Marlene Kopp. Jill Taylor celebrated her 70th birthday and was given a cake to mark the occasion.
Those having a birthday this week are Guilie Burton Ann Nixon and Heather Mann so happy birthday to you all. Congratulations on all the competition winners who were presented with your awards at the Presentation Day. Social bowls begins on January 18 and we will need to ring our names in for play

Thursday's 12 holes will be at Forbes with noms from 9.30am for a 10am tee off. Thursday week Parkes will host players for 18 holes.
The very social play of Cheating Tuesday attracted 17 players last week where a good score is matched with a morning out on the course in friendly company. Everyone is invited to play Cheating Tuesday, young and old and all in between with ball toss at 9am for partners. Winner last week was Barry Shine with 30 points by one from Frank Donahue and Graham Howe.
This year we hope to see all in the mid week competitions and hope 2017 see improvement in all swings for lower handicaps.
