A great roll up for our Tuesday Croquet with all courts full. The greens were the best we have played on for many seasons. We’re looking forward to having more days with good playing conditions.
Saturday saw our biggest roll out for Saturdays with 32 players turning out, requiring two sets of players to follow on. There was a big range of scores with some very dismal and disappointing ones.
President Elvy Quirk reminded the meeting that if anyone has borrowed balls for practise at home, they are required to return them as soon as possible.
She also thanked those people who turn up every morning very early to set up the courts for the games, and Anne and Harley Stewart for maintaining the records and doing the reports for the papers.
Our next birthday lunch is due on April 3 at the Chinese Garden restaurant.
