Results of the Major Singles games were: Don Craft and Brian Asimus played a marathon 37 ends before Brian, who had led throughout the game, prevailed and won game to 24.
I had only scored on three ends in the first 12 and I must admit that Spro played the much more consistent bowls during the game.
Brian Tisdell also played the more consistent bowls against Geoff Williams, winning game to 24.
In the last game of singles, the much improved Christian West showed he is going to be a force to be reckoned with when he outclassed Scott Andrews to win their match game to 21.
In Major Fours games Bill Adams, Greg Ward, Laurence Jackson and Bert Bayley were too strong for Danny Cassidy, Ron Thurlow, John Stringer and Russell Hodge and won their match 30-12.
In a very close game Bob Grant, John Williams, Lyall Strudwick and Geoff Williams defeated Rob Priest, Ray Dunstan, Peter MacKay and Brian Tisdell 21-20.
St the nineteenth end it was 18 all. Geoff’s team picked up three shots and at the last end Brian’s team could only manage two shots giving Geoff’s team the win.
In the last game of major fours played, Christian West, Graham West, Brian Asimus and Scott Andrews out played Don Craft, John Kennedy, Wayne Burton and Alan Phillips 21-12.
In a Minor Fours game Barry Wright, Wayne Moon, Daniel Tisdell and Alf Davies scored seven on the first end and that was the difference in the final score when they defeated Paul Baker, Cliff Nelson, Scott McKellar and Tony Bratton 28-21.

The match of the day was a run away for Bill O’Connell and Cliff Nelson against Kerry Dunstan and Laurie Crouch.
It’s hard to beat a couple of old battlers. It’s a great time of the year for getting out into the fresh air so see you next Wednesday at one.
Only three games were played last Thursday afternoon and the winners were Cliff Nelson and Ron Thurlow who defeated Ernie Egan and Lyall Strudwick 17-15.
In the other games, Harvey Elliott, Darryl Griffiths and Alan Phillips had a 22-15 win over Ron Symons, Bill Adams and Viv Russell.
In the last game Christian West and John Cutler proved too strong for Grant Lambert/Wayne Moon and Scott McKellar by winning the game 30-10.
The second round of the Forbes Caravan and Cabins trophy was played last Sunday morning with the winner of the round being John Cutler and runner up being John Ashcroft.
Winners on the morning were Steve Swanson and Russell Hodge who defeated John Ashcroft and John Bentick 15-8 and the two Johns also came out as the loosing rink.
In other games Clive Herbert and Peter Tisdell 23 defeated Loris Stewart and Rod Howarth 8 and in the last game Geoff Brown and John Cutler had 12-8 win over Col Breaden and Alan Smith.
