Last Wednesday, May 23, we celebrated our 79th birthday with a bingo afternoon.
We had two visitors representing Royal Far West.
They were Ruth D’Arth, who is Country Ambassador from Sydney and her friend, Debbie Gilbert from Parkes.
They joined us in our bingo games and had a few wins, so they might come back again another time.
They seemed to join in the fun and appeared to have a good time.
Ruth said they did have a good time.
We thank them very much for their attendance.
Our first birthday wishes for this week are on June 1 for Marko’s Mum’s Shannon and Bruce Almighty’s Grace.
June 2 has Lynwood’s Viliga celebrating with her family and friends .
There are not a lot of birthdays this week, but we hope that everyone has a great day.
If I have missed your birthday it is because you have not paid your fees for a couple of years.
For your enrolments, I need your name, address, pen-name, day and month of your birthday plus 20 cents per person for each year enrolling.
Please leave your details at the Op-Shop during business hours.
We are having some work done in the Op-Shop. Because of this work we are unable to accept furniture donations, until further notice.
Also, we will be closing the ladies section and moving it to the furniture room and the furniture to the back room.
We do apologise for any inconvenience this may occur. So please bear with us at this time.
Our next raffle to be drawn is the $200 worth of fuel from Nicholson’s Petroleum on June 22.
This is not refundable for cash.
After that, we have the single bed ensemble plus linen, which will be drawn on June 13.
All our tickets are $1 and can be purchased during business hours.
We still hold our Saturday cash bingo every week at 2:30pm in the Forbes Services Memorial Club.
The Eugowra Friends of the Sunshine Club hold their bingo the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month.
Their first bingo for July is on Tuesday, July 12, then on July 26.
These games are held at 1pm at the Eugowra Bowling Club.
A prize or plate would be most welcome.
A ‘Cuppa’ is served at half time.
Everyone is welcome to attend.
Our thought for the week comes from my Grandfather as to why he puts a lot of pepper on his meals we were told, “Well you have to keep the flies off somehow.”
Until next week, keep smiling.
Gay Lady’s Granddaughter.
