The team at Agriwest Forbes has signed up for the Bayer’s Big Fish Challenge 2018 – a year-long, three-event competition.
There’s 30 prizes on offer in the friendly challenge, but that’s not all fishos are hoping to secure.
Each team’s largest catch will add up to dollars to be donated to The Fly Program, a not-for-profit organisation that aims to create life-changing outdoors experiences for Australian men who need time to recharge.
The Challenge is donating a dollar amount for every centimetre of the largest fish caught (per type, per team), committing a minimum of $20,000.
The winning teams will all have an opportunity to take part in a Fly Program experience.
Bayer National Key Account manager Ben Thompson said agents wanted to show their support for rural men’s mental health.
“We wanted to show our support and it just seemed too distant to write a charity cheque for such an important issue,” he said.
