This year’s fundraising night of nights is set for November 10, with another 10 couples preparing to take the stage. And fans of the hugely successful Dancing Stars can expect another stellar event.
This year’s theme is 2018 World Tour and choreographers Kristen Woods, Rachel Wythes, Kate Ralph, Jacinta Welsh and Georgia Woods return to help the dancers prepare something special.
Our stars also welcome new choreographers Emily Pavey, Natalie Wang, Katie Hayes and Maddie Liebich.
To get our stars looking their best, Bronwyn Everson from Bron’s Hair Design is back for her fourth year in the dressing room, while Jessica Quirk from Jessica’s Essential Beauty has put her hand up for a second year on the stars’ makeup.
Bill Holmes returns as master of the night’s music, Mark Willis has stepped up to take on sound and lighting.
Organisers are delighted to have everyone on board, and particularly acknowledge the support of those who have been with the event since inception and haven’t hesitated to put their hand up again.
They also acknowledge the ongoing support of the Forbes Services Memorial Club, where the event will be held.
The night will take the same format as previous events, with a panel of three judges decided who wins the coveted disco ball.
There’s also honours for the people’s choice award, won by the couple who collect the most money for charity.
Feature of the night will be the auction, and anyone who would like to donate to that can message the Forbes Can Assist Dancing Stars Facebook page or contact the Forbes Advocate on 6852 1800 and Renee will pass your details on.
Dance sponsorships are available for $200, and event sponsorships from $100.
Sponsorship packages include promotion through the event Facebook page, the Advocate, and on the night. Dance sponsors get their name on the dancers’ backs.
All proceeds from the night go to Forbes CanAssist to help local people with the costs associated with cancer treatment.
Now all that’s left is to wait for tickets to go on sale (last year they sold out in a record 50 minutes!) in September.
The Advocate will be bringing you clues as to who this year’s dancers are closer to the event.
