Forbes Central Butchery joined other butchers from the Central West region to present their sausage and burger creations for judging in Orange.
This year, the local butcher won the continental category with their Hot and Spicy sausages.
Forbes Central Butchery also walked away from the annual competition with an equal second in the continental category for their Spicy Italian sausages and a second place with their Lamb and Rosemary in the Australian Lamb/Open Class.
They also placed third in the Traditional Australian Pork and third in the Poultry category with their Cracked Pepper and Cheese creation.
Butcher Shannon Bermingham said they have done pretty well in this competition, with the latest first place bringing them up to an estimated total of seven trophies over the last few years.
Shannon attributes his success to the fact they make the sausages themselves with their own recipe.
The sausages and burgers entered in the competition were judged on appearance, texture, bloom, shape and consistency for six different categories.
Shannon will head to Sydney in September to compete in the state final, which will determine the finest sausage and burger makers in the State.
If Shannon wins at the state finals he will compete in the National Sausage King Finals at Perth in February 2019.
