The Forbes Business Chamber Boscars Committee is pleased to announce the categories for this year’s Boscars and the opening of the awards.
To keep with the alignment forged with the NSW Business Chamber in 2016, the Chamber has added in one new category for 2018.
The new award category is Excellence in Sustainability, and it recognises businesses that are working to reduce the impact of their operations on the environment and/or provide products and services that have positive environmental outcomes.
Where sustainability is your core business, you must enter this category based on sustainable initiatives and projects within your business, not related to your core offering.
All other categories remain the same as last year.
The categories are: Excellence in Innovation; Excellence in Social Enterprise; Excellence in Small Business (under 20 employees); Excellence in Business (employing more than 20 employees); Employer of Choice; Apprentice or Trainee of the Year; Employee of the Year; Young Entrepreneur (Age 18-35); Start Up Superstar; Business Leader of the Year; and Business of the Year.
The People’s Choice awards for Tradie of the Year and Most Popular Business remain for 2018, with voting to be online.
Head online to enter.
All Forbes businesses are welcome to participate.
If you would like information on what category your business falls into, please contact either Fiona Ferguson, Forbes Business Chamber on 0407 380 936 or Cheryl Newsom, Media Liaison 0411 211 065.
The gala presentation night is on February 8, 2019, and the theme is a Midsummer Night’s Dream – a spectacular theme for a wonderful event.
The committee members are excited about the night and looking forward to many businesses participating.
A Midsummer Night's Dream is Shakespearean comedy, which portrays the events surrounding the marriage of Theseus, the Duke of Athens, to Hippolyta, the former queen of the Amazons.
These include the adventures of four young Athenian lovers and a group of six amateur actors who are controlled and manipulated by the fairies.
