And she did it at long odds, too.
The mare is currently trained in Sydney by Paul Fitzpatrick after having done her early racing under the care of part-owner Forbes’ Adam Bellach.
The mare was transferred to Fitzpatrick's care just on 12 months ago, and in the last few weeks has really found her mettle at Menangle.
On January 19 she started in the Teeny Rena Stakes, she took out the race with a well-timed burst at the juicy odds of $24.
She then backed this up seven days later when she contested the main race on the program, the Group 3 Ladyship Stakes.
Rocknroll Angel went to the post an outsider after drawing Barrier 11, and surprised everybody when she saluted at the juicy odds of $106.
Owners Bill and Cameron Dunn, Adam Bellach and Judith Wright, will be hoping that she can maintain her form to gain selection in the Ladyship Mile during the Miracle Mile Carnival to be held at Menangle in March.
The filly was quite an investment for Bill and Cameron Dunn, but their judgement has been justified as she has now won 14 races and $112,000 in prize money.
She showed her promise in January 2017, when she first headed to the city track and scored an emphatic win in the $26,000 Country Series Final.
In other local harness racing news, Karinya Mully ended a frustrating run of near misses when successful at the Australia Day meeting at Parkes. He took out the Australia Day pace for local trainer Gary Eyre, driven by Bathurst's Mitch Turnbull.
Over to Dubbo and Milliondollardream for local trainer Jason Gaffney broke a run of outs for the stable when successful in the Westside Kitchens Pace with another Bathurst reinsman Mat Rue doing the driving.
Gaffney has had a run of good form with his pacers but this is the first success in several weeks, with Onhisday and Eyetrouble both not far off a win.
Harley James from the Terry Robb stable has racked up numerous minor placings at recent meetings. A win shouldn't be far off for this pacer.
