The final figure from Marg Stirling's head shave fundraiser last year has been tallied, raising $6,700 to be donated to the Material Headwear and the local wig library.

The donations will be used to purchase additional wigs and material headwear for ladies who have lost their hair through chemotherapy treatment.
Marg said she would like to thank the Forbes Rugby Club, the Credit Union and the Forbes Inn for their support as well as the community members who donated to the cause.

Lachlan Health Service, McGrath Breast Care Nurse Dianne Green said Marg put herself out there in support of women who go through chemotherapy and require headwear.
"This is an illustration of how community members support each other."
Janice Cassidy from Cassidy's Hair Salon Parkes, who fits and maintains wigs, said she would like to thank Marg for her work raising this money.
"It makes a difference to the women, both emotionally and mentally when they can have a wig. The smile it can bring to their face says it all," she said.
