Event organiser Shaun Read described the annual event as a great day out adding the rain didn't scare the crowd away.
Mr Read said numbers were up from last year, with an estimated crowd of at least 2000 people watching the thrills and spills of the rodeo.
The rodeo attracted more than 430 nominations, not including entries in the local events.
Entrants included current and former Australian champions.

While the event attracted many skilled cowboys from around the country, the bull ride remained untamed with none of the riders able to stay on for the required time.
Cody Angland from Queensland took out the hotly contested Open Saddle Bronc Ride.
Among the other winners were Western Australia's Gerard Oversby who won the Bareback ride and Forbes local Jake Tomlinson who won the Under 11 steer ride.
The Jaye Davis Memorial Steer Ride was a popular event, seeing many local riders battle it out for the buckle.
The Memorial Steer ride ended up in a draw between Ben Molloy and Troy Gibson. The buckle went to Ben Molloy after the equally placed riders tossed a coin for it.
The Paddy Molloy All Round Buckle was claimed by Gerard Oversby.

This is the second year that the Paddy Molloy All Round Buckle was presented and is named in honour of Paddy who had a long association with the rodeo. To be eligible to win the buckle, competitors needed to compete in both timed and roughstock events.
The bucking bull of the year, Eye Candy, who has so far resisted all attempts to ride out the time on him did not make an appearance. His replacement, Hillbilly Deluxe, carried on the tradition and also defied all attempts from the riders to stick with him.
Mr Read said the stock provided for the night were all outstanding.
"They certainly didn't disappoint," he said.

As an added bonus spectators were able to watch all of the thrills and spills up close on a big screen.
Mr Read thanked the Forbes community for their support, members of the organising committee and all of the volunteers who helped make the day a success.
