It was lovely to see more visitors playing on our courts. Welcome Jenny Young and Wendy Jeffery, who both looked like they had played before. Wendy Jeffrey had a good win partnered by a seasoned player, Mary Hodges.
They defeated Alec Todd and Ruth Cheney 9-4. The winners of three matches on the day were Bruce Field, Colleen Liebich, Kevin Rubie, Jill Rubie and Neville Spry.
Aussie Croquet November 9
Twenty three players braved the courts for our Saturday's Aussie Croquet, with a bitterly cold wind blowing across the courts.
Players huddled together in any area of sun they could find, the biggest players being used as a wind block. Our metal ramp has been installed much to everyone's joy although it's not quite ready for use.
The next major item hopefully will be our roofed shelter area at the end of the Club House. We certainly could have used it on Saturday.
Saturday saw four players win their three games. They were John Browne, John Cole, Kevin Rubie and Lyn Simmonds. Congratulations all.

Squash presentation
Former Forbes resident and Squash Club Member Robyn Acheson traveled from Dubbo recently to attend the Forbes Squash Clubs Annual Presentations. A highlight of the event was former club president Garry Dempsey's receiving of Life Membership. His many years of playing squash and committee work were rewarded. An emotional Garry said it was a very pleasant surprise and that he was so proud to be so honored. He also said that the local Squash Club Committee was the best committee he had ever been involved with. Garry wished current Club President Darryn Piper all the best and was sure the Committee had made an excellent choice in electing Darryn as the new President.
