A number of Parkes and Forbes police officers will Shave to Save this June, raising vital funds for NSW Police Legacy in the process.

Senior Constable Rob Ellis of Forbes Police will be joined by Senior Constables Lisa Pearson and Nick White, Chief Inspector Cooper and Acting Sargent Filiz Kucukakyuz from Parkes to take on the razor on Thursday, June 11.
"In light of the tragic loss of lives in the Victorian Police and the South Australian Police and some very close calls in our own force, Senior Constable Nick White and myself... have decided to raise money for NSW Police Legacy, in which we and hopefully other police in our community will shave their heads and/or beards," Senior Constable Pearson said.
"We intend to live stream this little event on Thursday, June 11, 2020 from Parkes Police Station, so let's all dig deep and get behind this great cause."
NSW Police Legacy is a charitable organisation that was established in 1987 to care for the widows, widowers, partners and children of deceased members of the NSW Police Force.
"You may never need Police Legacy but someone you know in the job will," Senior Constable Pearson said.
"We all risk our lives each shift and we all want to go home. If we don't then Police Legacy will help those left behind."
$1445 has been raised so far, with the officers posting a $3000 goal.
