The NRL legend brought The Mindset Project back to town, this time working with Yoorana Gunya.
When Thompson was in a few weeks ago, he shared strategies to thrive as well as encouraging others to open up.
He shared his mental health journey with the locals who went down to the Forbes Youth and Community Centre on Thursday.
Yoorana Gunya's Taylor Bliss said they invited Joel back to Forbes as part of their Suicide Prevention Program funded by NSW Health.
The local health service is still promoting mental health, Ms Bliss said, with a range of health services on offer at Yoorana Gunya.
You can speak with health professionals at Yoorana Gunya or your local GP about mental health concerns.
