Veteran golfers were out in force again last Thursday for the 'twin towns' challenge over 12 holes here in Forbes where the local club courtesy their best six individual scores from 18 representatives totalled 155 points to Parkes' 144 (15 players) to reverse the result in the Mick Miller shield from the previous week.

Trevor Toole, new to regular golf on the Forbes scene, showed he is one to watch in 2021 winning with 28 points from one of the more consistent players around, Barry Parker (Forbes) next best with 27 points on a count-back from yet another 'new boy on the block' in Forbes, Jeff Moon.
To top it off for the local club, former club president and a very likeable Tom Edols took home the encouragement award.

Thursday's play will be 12 holes in Parkes, shot gun start at 10am. Thursday week Lachlan Valley veteran golfers will gather in Condobolin for the monthly 18 hole competition.
Trevor Toole also took out the Tuesday 12 hole social competition with 31 points from John Smith with 29 points.
Everyone is welcome to Tuesday golf with players gathering from 9am for a morning walk chasing the little white ball in the best time of the day.
