Owing to the health restrictions in place at the time because of COVID 19, she was cremated and then her ashes brought back to Eugowra for interment at the Eugowra Cemetery on March 6th 2021.
Coral had three children- Judy, Sue (Dec) and Daryl.
These memories of Coral were written and read by her friend Chris Townsend.
I had the pleasure of knowing both Coral and Les for many years, I can say our friendship enriched my life in many ways that I am extremely grateful for.
Coral was a very strong determined lady who always went out of her way to show her love and support to her family and friends. Both her and Les loved the town of Eugowra and always supported their town.
This was reflected in their decision to get Eugowra Kennel Club up and running, their way of putting something back into their community.
Coral was quite a character with a cheeky side to her make-up. I remember staying at their house here in Eugowra so we could travel to Forbes the next day for a dog show. She had some farm cats at the time and while we were sitting on the veranda having a beer, (well OK, a few) my Doberman Duncan spotted the cats.
He was quite keen to get a better look at them and she got quite a kick out of stirring things up a bit.
Next day at the show while I was in the group line up, she took it upon herself to start telling this lady about her and Duncan looking for the pussy cats.
Every time she mentioned pussy cats Duncan lifted more in the ring, he went on to get best in group.
Afterwards I said to her good timing to have that chat about pussy cats, she just smiled - Subject Closed.
Coral was also very fortunate in the fact that she got to experience true love and mateship with her soulmate Les.
I can't recall a phone call or conversation that his name was not included or a story told regarding her and Les's life together, that's a truly special thing to have in one's life time.
I know she struggled with the passing of Les, but to her credit she kept on going for her family/friends and her four-legged mates.
Coral's family and I would like to thank Barry, Gail and Michaela and also Ashley and Rob for your support during the last few years she lived in Eugowra before moving to Queensland.
I must also mention a very special friendship that Coral shared with Lyn Wilson and Carolyn Williams. She would want me to tell you both how much you girls meant to her and how your phone calls and letters lifted her spirits, she loved getting news from home.
She will be greatly missed by us all but I will take comfort in knowing that she is now resting with her Les home here in Eugowra. Rest easy my darling till we all link up again at some dog show or camp fire somewhere.
