Tuesday saw Forbes reach a top of just 12.8 degrees - and we're sure it didn't feel that warm with that breeze - after a balmy 23.3 degrees on Monday.
The cool change ushered in with 5mm of rain in the airport gauge, cold and misty showers continuing from Monday night through the next day but only totalling another 1mm.
It takes our total for the first 12 days of May to 24.8mm.
Forecasters are warning us to prepare for a chilly weekend too, with a top temperature of just 14 degrees expected both Saturday and Sunday.
It doesn't look as likely to be as damp and cold as Tuesday though, the forecast is for partly cloudy but be wary of the South Westerly breeze that's expected Saturday.
Sunday is expected to fine up to sunny with a lighter South Westerly breeze after a frosty start.
At time of preparing for press, Weatherzone was tipping our morning temperatures would drop as low as -2 degrees on Sunday and again on Tuesday, and -1 on Monday.
If the predictions prove true, it will be our coldest May morning so far this year. In the first two weeks of the month the chilliest morning has been May 1 with 5.2 degrees.
At an average 9.8 degrees our mornings are trending above the long-term average of 5.5 degrees, but there's a long way to go yet.
