Aidan, who started working at Forbes Learning Ladder three years ago, has been one of Forbes’ young leaders throughout his schooling.
He was captain of Forbes North Public School in 2007, a member of the Forbes High School SRC for five years and captain of Forbes High School in 2013.
He now works in an industry where less than two per cent of workers are male, providing an invaluable role model.
Aidan is committed to the education of the next generation, now studying a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education.
A winner at last year’s Forbes Youth Awards, Aidan said being named Forbes’ Young Citizen of the Year on Thursday was a real shock.
“Being spoken about in such a high way is humbling,” he said after his biography was read with the award announcement.
Aidan said he loves his job, watching children grow and change from the first time they come in to when they are ready for school.
