Golf is just one sport being severely interrupted by the recent wet and following floods with organisers of upcoming events keeping their fingers crossed that end of year activities can still be held.

President of Forbes Veteran golfers Peter Barnes said last week that recent weather conditions are proving challenging for not only sporting bodies but the whole of the district.
"Hopefully all will improve sooner than later for everyone," he said.
"We have our 'twin towns' Christmas party for vets from Forbes and Parkes set down for Thursday December 9 with 18 holes here in Forbes.
"Let's hope we can get back on the course to play by then and if we do it will be a 9.30am nomination for tee off from then until 10am."
Last Thursday 'twin towns' vets were re-scheduled to play in Parkes however rain was again the winner with not a ball being hit.
"We called it off early but all that will hopefully change next Thursday (today) where we again have 18 holes planned with noms as usual from 9.30am," Robert Lea from the Parkes club said last Friday.
Not only is Thursday golfers being hit due to the wet it is the same for the social 12 hole Tuesday players. They also had to cancel their 'hit' last week.
Organiser Geoff Drane said the planned Tuesday Christmas Party will definitely go ahead on Tuesday December 14 no matter what the weather conditions.
"The club will be open so why not. We will gather in the Golfie Hotel from 12 midday for a refresher and dinner," he said adding that he urgently needs names of those attending for catering purposes.
